The Amazon Kindle might be doing gangbusters at the moment, but it still lacks a color display. Since necessity is the mother of all inventions, enter Project Tabeee that takes the humble Asus Eee PC into an e-book reader complete with a color display and Web capability. What you see here is a mock-up of the final design, but it is currently in the works and hopefully the final product won't be buggy at all. If it ever rolls out successfully, you can bet your bottom dollar that this will be a killer e-book reader, so hopefully battery technology will have evolved by then to make it last much longer than the Eee PC's current capacity that stands at a paltry couple of hours.
