While Electronic Arts already announced the game's release date several days ago, the official Crysis Warhead web site has now officially announced that the stand alone first person shooter from Crytek has officially "gone gold", meaning the game is now heading to disk duplication.
The game's release date hasn't changed; it's still due to ship on September 16 in the US with a September 12 date in Europe. The $29.95 priced title will have a somewhat shorter single player experience than the first Crysis game but will contain all of the multiplayer maps and modes that the first game did with additional maps and a new InstantActionTeam mode.
