Since the iPhone took off, there really was no looking back for touch-based technology. It will retail for $99 and comes with 30 watts of power as well as a touch panel display that allows you to control function, volume, bass and treble. I suspect you'll fiddle with all those settings for a few days after getting it, where you will then fall back onto old habits by using a remote control afterwards.
