Sony has just lifted the curtain on its NAS-M700HD, NAS-M500HD and CMT-E300HD systems. The first two will feature 160GB of storage space, a 4.3" LCD display, a couple of USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet connectivity, analog audio out, headphone out and are DLNA 1.0 certified, whereas the M700 comes with the added bonus of an MD player (that's MiniDisc to the uninitiated, a medium that was supposed to take over the CD but failed in its quest, although it did pretty well within Japan itself). The CMT-E300HD is the baby of the range, coming with half the storage space, USB ports and falters badly as it is unable to reproduce MP3 audio from a CD. The NAS-M700HD, NAS-M500HD and CMT-E300HD will retail for €550, €420 and €300, respectively.
